I recognize much like I did with the Tangled Yoke that I am not the first to knit this fabulous sweater (530+ on ravelry!), nor will I be the last. To be quite honest I had a love/hate relationship – I loved the pattern but it wasn’t until I saw some great FOs around blog land and a knitalong request from my blogless friend Dana that I decided to cast on.
What started out slow in November, the knitting picked up speed during my week off in between Christmas and New Years – I zoomed through the sleeves and the skirt. But it sat around collecting all sorts of dust and even produced some wear (can that be possible just laying there?) while I got busy at work and then seaming it up just seemed like such a chore! I was worried that once finished I wasn’t going to like it and the thought of finishing it just turned me off. I confess that I had a sleeve… just one sleeve, sitting there half seamed for like 2 weeks. I finally finished it at a knit group on a Tuesday night in a matter of one hour. Yes, I am that lazy. We won’t even talk about the buttons.
Pattern: Tilted Duster from Interweave Fall 2007
Yarn: Berroco Peruvia, Black
Needles: Size 10 addi circulars
But what can I say now… I love it! I really really do. The more I wear it and see these pics I just love it more and more! I had a lot of fun with the photoshoot. My friend Patricia was fun enough to entertain my goofiness! More photos of which can be found on my flickr account. It really fits well and has a great look to it. In the end I’m really glad I chose black as I feel it adds a lot of class.
This will probably be the last you’ll hear from me before my Tampa trip! I’ll be back on Thursday with hopefully a lot of pics to show. I’m bringing my newest knit on the needles, Sadie, a cute cardigan from Rowan 40 – so hopefully I’ll get a good amount done on the plane or poolside ;-)!
Have a great weekend (Happy Easter!) and happy knitting!
great job – & was a fun photo shoot…. you’re a rockstar

No, you certainly will not be the last one to knit TD, because like you, after looking at finished ones on Ravelry, it is now in my queue, and…in black! Crazy thing to do, I know, but it’s a stash buster for some yarn I’ve been wanting to use. Love yours. It fits you really well. Good job!
