Moneypenny Mitts

Moneypenny Mitts

Pattern: From Scratch
Yarn: Madeline Tosh Worsted, 1 ball – Copper Penny
Needles: Size US 7 addi circulars

I have been craving fingerless mittens ever since the temperature dropped.  As you have seen, I had some gift knits to finish but as soon as the last tail was woven in I immediately set out to Patricia's for yarn.  It didn't take me long to fall in love with this colorway from Madeline Tosh.

A little swatch in woven stitch and whola a new pair of mitts for me!

My friend Chris also made a similar pair.  We had sat together at the yarn shop all day working out the mitts together.  Increasing for the thumb gusset was a little tricky in woven stitch but we managed to make it work so that it wasn't too obvious.

I'll defnitely write it up to share with you all if you want to make yourself a pair of Moneypennys!
